[edit]The picture from Petestrumentals works better than the one of him in the hoodie. Haxwell 16:31, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
picture
[edit]I've replaced the picture. In the Petestrumentals album cover, Pete's finger obstructs his face slightly. I think this one works fine.
I've created a much neater discography of Pete Rock productions which can be found at Pete Rock discography.
Date of Birth
[edit]He was actually born on Jun 21 of 1970. I got it from this from the website sing365, where it shows his biography about his life. I think that's the right choice. And, also put CL Smooth's Date of Birth at his biography
Another Pete Rock Invazion
[edit]I guess that there is another CD which should be mentioned in his Discography! It´s a Mix CD named "diggin´on blue" from blue note records which is mixed by Pete Rock. It was released in 1999, but just a very, very few quantity. You can make sure that it exists searching for it´s cover with ´google´. However, I don´t have enough knowlege nor information to supplement the article. User: Merlin Politor 05 Jan 2007 , 05:00h

Early Career
[edit]Why is there so little on Pete's early work? Under 'Solo Career' it comes off as though he only started working in 2009 with J-Dilla. But his first solo album is made in 1998 and he continues working throughout the following decade. So much is made of his relation with CL Smooth but it is barely mentioned substantively, only when speaking of their concluding work together, severely decontextualizing a very important part of Pete's career ('Relationship with CL Smooth').
I am active in searching for more information and hope I can get some here soon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ikaheimo (talk • contribs) 08:36, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
This sentence
[edit]I don't know how to edit wikipedia but somebody gotta know why this sentence sucks:
"He is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time,[5] and is often mentioned alongside DJ Premier, Havoc, The Alchemist, RZA, and Q-Tip as one of the mainstays of 1990s East Coast hip hop production."
Love Alc, but how on earth does he make a list of "90's EAST COAST mainstay hiphop producers" & Easy Mo Bee ain't even on there? 174.73.182.81 (talk) 04:37, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
