December 2008: Speedy Deletion Nomination
[edit]This page is about a recognised British singer songwriter (for the past twenty odd years with around 8-10 critically acclaimed albums). just because the page is in infancy is no reason for a speedy deletion. It is relevant and surely will grow with time...

I removed the speedy tag as the criterion used did not apply. Morton has received a fair bit of coverage and is certainly not a speedy-deletion candidate. the article, however, needs a lot of work. I found these from a Google search which may help:
- [1] - BBC Radio 3 piece - written by Morton so not in itself demonstrating notability
- [2] - review of his Trespass album
- [3] - review of Hunting the Heart
- [4] - Polish newspaper article that appears to refer to Morton as the "British Bob Dylan"
- [5] - Washington Post article (pay per view)
- [6] and [7] - 2 articles from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (pay per view)
The article suggests coverage from Folk Roots and allmusic - adding these sources to the article would help.--Michig (talk) 20:07, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
I found some details at the Folk Roots site - Morton was the cover star of this mag in December 2000.[8], and has had several reviews in the same mag.[9],[10], [11]
...and here's the correct Allmusic link:[12]--Michig (talk) 20:30, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
