Personality in Diplomatic Matters
[edit]I would not characterize the mutual gesture Her Majesty shared with Michelle Obama as a "hug". Further, it seems what is most noteable here is that the Queen initiated the gesture, which Mrs. Obama reciprocated, in what a palace spokeswoman characterized as "...a mutual and spontaneous display of affection and appreciation between the Queen and Michelle Obama," as reported in the Times. Er - any kind soul know how to clean up my source citation so it shows the article title in the sources section below? I seem not to be able to figure it out. 208.102.87.91 (talk) 21:58, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:EIIR-Simpsons.jpg
[edit]Image:EIIR-Simpsons.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]Isn't it true that The Queen is the only person in the world who doesn't need a passport or a driving licence. The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 21:36, 18 February 2010 (UTC) I don't know if she's the ONLY. There may be a few other heads of state, the Pope (?) But in the UK she is, because the passports and licences are issued in her name. Also I don't think she can leave the country without police bodyguards, ladies-in-waiting, secretaries (and the Prime Minister's permission). It is a cool little quirk of being the Sovereign. 74.69.121.132 (talk) 01:14, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit]We cannot report in Wikipedia's voice that Elizabeth has always been popular. IPSOS-Mori is a public opinion pollster and we can report that they say she was popular in a series of polls since 1992. Opinion polls are not reality, and we need to be extremely cautious in how we use them. --John (talk) 06:03, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Extremely biased
[edit]There's hardly any word written that's anywhere close to neutral. It's all about how wonderful and gentle she is. I mean even the picture on the top of the page is misleading because she has only laughed twice in her life.
- Doesn’t surprise me. So much royal writing is sycophantic. Even here it seems to be the case. TrottieTrue (talk) 02:15, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
