I added some additional references so as to establish notability, taking into account the notability guidelines for biographies (in my opinion, explicit mentioning in media like the NYT should do, particularly when accompanied by monothematic articles like in "die tageszeitung").
However, I wonder whether guidelines for media aren't more adequate in this quite special case, anyway. It is impossible to tell when or if the identity of Persiankiwi will be revealed. Given the present circumstances, it is highly desirable that this will not happen soon. For the time being, it is comforting that we talk about an Anonymous, as talking about a person would mean that she or he would definitely be in great danger.
We can't even be sure that behind Persiankiwi there is just one person. Isn't an anonymous, or impersonal, neutral news source the definition of media? If, until further notice, notwithstanding the sympathy extended by many readers, we take Persiankiwi for a quite exceptional "media outlet", there seems to me no doubt about notability, given the guidelines above mentioned. It has been "the subject of coverage in secondary sources." Furthermore, during the recent events Persiankiwi certainly has been "worthy of being noted" and "attracting notice" as a news source. The demonstrable effect of her or his or their work is fascinating a broad audience and thus help keeping the Iran issue in the headlines. --Hcinmmod (talk) 22:07, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
