Soviet POWs, antifascist partisan activity

[edit]

Archival testimonies by Soviet Red Army veterans mention "Priaslev (Ukraine, near Kiev)" as the site of a camp where they were held as POWs, and also that escaped Soviet POWs formed a partisan unit that fought in the area. Is there evidence of a POW camp and antifascist partisan activity near Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi that might identify it as this "Priaslev" that I don't find in the regional gazetteers I've searched? -- Deborahjay (talk) 07:40, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you'd better research it, and establish notability, fo yourself. There could be dozens of localities named identicallly or similarly to Pereiaslav in Kyiv area alone BTW. Thank you anyway, Ukrained2012 (talk) 13:12, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actual location of "Fiddler on the Roof"?

[edit]

Is Pereiaslav the actual location of the fictional Anatevka in the musical "Fiddler on the Roof"? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 23:31, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
