Dorothy Round Little Portrait
[edit]On the BBC's "Flog It!" when Paul Martin was taken round Dudley Art Gallery by Robin Shaw, Ivo Shaw's son, Robin Shaw stated that the portrait of a tennis player was not in fact Dorothy Round Little but a model. My POV but its a wonderful painting anyway. The article would greatly benefit from the addition of some of the artists work. In good faith. - Per Court on Canvas: Tennis in Art (p.94) the painting is indeed not of Dorothy Round.--Wolbo (talk) 23:35, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
Death in air raid - CWGC mention
[edit]The only Percy Shakespeare I found in the Commonwealth War Grave Commission's casualty list was listed as a civilian, with no indication of naval service given. The date of death coincides, his parents are named as John Thomas and the (then) late Ada Shakespeare, of 12 Maple Road, Dudley. For security reasons air raid deaths were then reported in the press without specifying exact towns but the CWGC record indicates he was killed in Brighton, Sussex, opposite Marine Gates, age given as 36 (year younger than indicated by birth date in this article). I will add the details anon.Cloptonson (talk) 20:57, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
