Article Improvements
[edit]As I understand, the reviewer declined the article because there were not enough secondary sources discussing the song in a substantial way. I have since added multiple sources discussing the song with multiple paragraphs. This includes a reputable source (Associated Press) discussing a legal case involving the song, and the staff of a magazine (Stylus Magazine) discussing its impact on views of Italian culture.
The following is from Wikipedia:Notability (music) to demonstrate notability:
"Songs and singles are probably notable if they have been the subject[1] of multiple,[2] non-trivial[3] published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label." This is now satisfied, in my opinion, as I included multiple new sources discussing the song in a substantial manner (i.e. multiple paragraphs).
"Has been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts." This criteria is met. While in itself not determinative, in combination with the above mentioned secondary sources discussing various aspects of the song, it should lean towards notability.
"Notability aside, a standalone article is appropriate only when there is enough material to warrant a reasonably detailed article." The new sources I have included touching on Italian culture and legal issues show that someone else could do additional research and flesh out these topics in the article.
