The result of the move request was: moved. WP:CONPRIME is a "should", true, but the lengths of ambiguous lists or the notability of their elements are not a primary topic criteria. -- JHunterJ (talk) 12:22, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
People from Oxford → People from Oxford (disambiguation) – Per WP:CONPRIME, since the primary topic of "Oxford" is Oxford, the primary topic of "People from Oxford" should be "Oxford#Human (admittedly an awkward section title, but that needs to be fixed in the article). Therefore, move this disambiguation page to follow the established primary topic determination for the supertopic. BD2412 T 16:38, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. It would only make sense to follow the precedent set at Oxford. 207.161.86.162 (talk) 04:08, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:CONPRIME is not absolute. Oxford, England, may be more primary than the the University of Oxford, all things considered, but when we focus on people specifically the university has produced far more notable individuals than the city (i.e. people who grew up there or live there permanently). The content of Oxford#Human is also very unhelpful to the reader. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 21:10, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
- The content of the section needs improving, yes. Are people from the university not more likely to be referred to as "alumni of..." or "graduates of..."? BD2412 T 02:22, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
- "People from X University" is a generic term which can also include faculty, administrators, etc. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 02:41, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
