The discrepancy in dates mentioned in the links to the Disbrowe letters is most likely due to the fact of their pre-dating the calendar revision of 1752. At the time of the uprising, new year's day fell on 25 March (Lady Day) so 22 March 1654 as mentioned in the letters is what we would think of as 22 March 1655. Other than the bits with specific citations I seem to remember much of it is in Ravenhill's 1875 book, i.e. for Rivers' petitions see Ravenhill, p.153 as well as the Thurloe papers, p.746Svejk74 (talk) 22:13, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
