Former name

Yes, and about 2 other names before that. Edinboro State College marked the transition from a soley teaching school (as in education degrees) to more of a generalized liberal arts school. Keithieopia (talk) 14:56, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

New Information

I added first hand information (I'm a graduate of Edinboro) to this article, first I added Delta Alpha Pi which supports the original argument that Edinboro supports persons with disabilities, and I tweaked the section on the pipe band; beforehand the article sounded like the pipe band was part of the marching band which is not the case at all, the two are separate entities and only play together at homecoming. Furthermore, there was a incorrect reference to Scotland the Brave being Scotland's Anthem, Scotland does not have a anthem and per the [Scotland the Brave] article, it ranks at best being second to a national anthem. Edinboro also plays a heavily modified version of the tune, in which the pipe band has to omit and add sections to the original "Scots Guards" standard pipe setting, making it a completely new song based loosely on Scotland the Brave.Keithieopia (talk) 14:56, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Mallory Lake

Wasn't Mallory Lake formed when they were breaking ground for the library? I'd heard they left the worksite on a Friday, and came back on a Monday to find it submerged. Is this true? 66.251.234.26 (talk) 12:57, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

No, the lake has always been there in some form. For a long time, the entire lower part of campus that it sits on was farms and marsh land similar to the areas by Ontario Street and behind the Copper Coin bar. I wondered why Dennis Creehan was not in notable alumi. He was a well know football coach in college ball and the CFL.
