Photo of Tender/Edit Request 11/16/2017
[edit]Would it be worth adding a photo of the aquiared tender to the article? Two images of the tender can be found in the links below me.

Thank you Blockdoc for adding a picture of the "Coast to Coast" 16 wheeled tender to the article. --JCC the Alternate Historian (talk) 20:15, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Well that stinks! The photos were removed apparently for copyright reasons and they were used without permission from the T1 Trust. Hopefully, similar pictures will be uploaded to the article eventually. --JCC the Alternate Historian (talk) 20:14, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
My hope is to eventually include those. If I ever get around to seeing the tenders and such, I'll take the photos myself. --MatthewAnderson707 (talk) 03:13, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Cost and completion goals
[edit]In the last couple of days I reverted two good-faith comments on the estimated completion status of the locomotive. In the first case an ISP editor raised a question on how it was deemed "43% complete". The T1 Trust, on their web page and in other sources, bases this on weight. The second reversion made concerned a comment by another ISP editor that it was hoped that the various smaller components needed to complete the locomotive do not drive up the overall cost.
It is certainly true that nuts, bolts, cotter pins, shims etc. will be needed to put things together but as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia we have to support our statements with reliable sources. We have to refrain from making unsourced statements or editorializing in an article. A reader has to be able to find objective and neutral information on the project's progress. We cannot have it cluttered with subjective commentary like, "hope they don't have cost overruns", "can't wait to see it", "the money would be better spent on the K4", etc. Blue Riband► 16:15, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
