I'm seeking input on the proper way to include my "Confusion about the name of the school" section in the article. I've identified over a dozen biographical articles on Wikipedia that include the wrong school name (in all three permutations) and I will soon edit the Elizabeth D. A. Cohen article. I think this information will be helpful to others, but I'm not sure what the preferred way to include it is. Mherbison (talk) 18:25, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I am seeing that Dr. Cohen has been added to this article, however there are many sources stating she attended Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania aka The Female Medical College of Pennsylvania. I understand there is confusion over the name of the school and since there was not many schools at the time admitting women for medical studies. However I believe we need to look closer at the sources to determine when and where she attended. Jooojay (talk) 22:36, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The current citation used in this article to support the statement that she attended this school and graduated in 1857 is not online and listed as "U.S., School Catalogs, 1765-1935. Penn Medical University of Philadelphia." - the citations stated she did not attend this school include "P.E. Hyman and D.D. Moore (eds.), Jewish Women in America, 1 (1997), 243–44; New Orleans Times-Picayune (Feb. 22, 1920); J. Duffy (ed.), The Rudolph Matas History of Medicine in Louisiana, 2 (1962); Encyclopedia Louisiana (1998)."
