Why is this related to Penis?

On the page Penis it states at the top:

"This article is about penises of animals in general. For the human organ, see human penis.

Several terms redirect here. For other uses, see Penis (disambiguation), Penes (disambiguation), and Penile, Louisville." While the word Penile may be similar to the word used to for penis-related subjects in English, it is unlikely that anyone is going to searching for "Penile" in the search bar, nor end up here by accident. So I can't figure out why that mention is there are all, unless someone thought it was amusing and wanted to draw readers attention to the silly town name that sounds sort of like penis. Which is not a legitimate reason. The other possibility is that "Penile" is a new name, and it actually used to be written "Penis" and pronounced "Peen-eye" in French, until someone decided to change it because people kept laughing. THey decided on "Penile" as close to the original name yet different enough not to be the butt of jokes all the time. If that IS the case, the article should say so, not just because the link ought to be explained, but because it's important information relating to the subject.

Your speculation about the French language is wrong and could use some help.

The French word pénis is pronounced pay-neese.

The word penile does not exist in French but the translation of the English word penile is pénien in French, pronounced pen-yen.
