Unlike some people who come on here and write about the distance between the station and Lowry's home (117 Station Road, Pendlebury) I know the area extremely well, i.e. it's my hometown. It was shown as 'half a mile' from the station to his home. Knowing this to be wrong I measured it properly in my car and the distance comes out at 0.8 of a mile. I.e., from station's location on Bolton Road (A666) to the junction with Station Road (B5231) and turn left and down to 117 Station Road, opposite St Mark's RC Church (0.8 mile). From there downhill to Swinton railway station is roughly 150 yards or so. Believe me, this is about as accurate as it can get. Please do not change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.185.184.126 (talk) 23:39, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
