Advert. Status
[edit]I wrote this article, and it was most definitely not meant to be an advertisement. I will gladly find more sources. What about it sounds like an advertisement to you? Jrtayloriv (talk) 16:45, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- The fact that it didn't indicate notability and wasn't properly sourced. It's much better now. ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:19, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
This is definitely advertising - there is nothing particularly notable about this company. There are many other companies that do the same thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ksolid (talk • contribs) 12:19, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- It was notable enough to be included in Wired Magazine and a major newspaper, so I'd say it's notable enough to be on Wikipedia. Jrtayloriv (talk) 08:37, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Their products are the most commonly used in the fields electronic intercept / surveillance ... they are the primary surveillance systems for hundreds of police departments, as well as large federal law enforcement agencies -- so thousands of law enforcement agents use them every day. Millions of Americans are wiretapped each year using their products. Does this not qualify as notable to you? Jrtayloriv (talk) 16:45, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- And see my notes above regarding the fact that is has significant coverage in reliable sources. Jrtayloriv (talk) 08:38, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Because it shows up in a mgazine does not make it notable for wikapedia - it makes it a press release. Again, there are numerous companies that do the same thing and they are not wikapedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ksolid (talk • contribs) 18:37, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
