[edit]Expect a bit of traffic to this page based on this article - perhaps semi-protect if it gets too bad: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/dec/03/peking-duk-fan-infiltrates-backstage-by-fooling-security-guard-with-wikipedia-edit -- Chuq (talk) 07:02, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Edit in question is here for people interested in seeing it. Can't believe anyone would fall for that...

- Thanks for the post here. I was looking through the edit history to find the edit in question but was having difficulty. Should a little section about this story be added to the article? Iṣṭa Devatā (talk) 16:18, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
About 28 articles at this time. The Guardian, Billboard, Gizmodo, The Independent, etc. --Super Goku V (talk) 17:24, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Added a bit, with a primary source and BBC + guardian as supporting sources. Not sure whether people will bother to vandalise this page much now, but fear that at every gig for every band in the near future, we'll see copycat chancers tampering with articles! Rayman60 (talk) 22:08, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Well, security for the band knows this trick by now so... Lots42 (talk) 16:09, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- It is clear that the band was not duped and knew exactly what had happened, they just thought it was so creative that they invited him backstage. Yet another reminder the vast majority of the world's population thinks that Wikipedia is magical.--Milowent • hasspoken 21:59, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
Background
[edit]articles re: Hydes MC stuff: http://www.scenemagazine.com.au/music/electronic/peking-duk-feels-like http://themusic.com.au/interviews/all/2013/10/16/peking-duk-reuben-styles-adam-hyde/20512/ I don't know how the wording should be changed, I get the feeling that it wasn't quite stellar. 115.186.198.66 (talk) 06:53, 17 January 2017 (UTC) me again 115.186.198.66 (talk) 06:54, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
Drummer
[edit]Who is the drummer in the YouTube recordings of the Like A Version performances? She doesn't seem to be credited on WP, ABC, YT, etc. Is she "just" provided by Triple-J and therefore doesn't get a mention? She does a great job, so I'm wondering why the high-profile guest vocalists get named (ft Julia Stone, Dean Brady) but not the drummer. 49.186.99.246 (talk) 06:34, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
