[edit]Is PG Gyllenhammar Jewish? many people in Sweden tell that he is of Jewish origin.

- Quite a few Swedish surnames sound Jewish, especially names within the nobilty. I don't know if Pehr G. Gyllenhammar has Jewish origin on his mother's side, but the Gyllenhammar family orginates from Jonas Månsson (1630-1682), Lieutenant Colonel at Jönköping Regiment. He was knighted in 1665 and got the name Gyllenhammar, which directly translated means "golden hammer".
