PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science?

[edit]

Some sources state that Peggy Cherng, as Peggy Tsiang, claim that she had received a PhD degree in electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1974. However, her thesis topic appears to be a computer science topic. Has anyone check to a University of Missouri source to find out in which department awarded her degree? 50.195.200.161 (talk) 02:47, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If I'm not mistaken, in the 1970s, if you wanted to study computer science, you enrolled in a school of electrical engineering. They essentially were one-in-the-same during the early years of the Digital Age. JoelWhy?(talk) 14:38, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
