[edit]File sharing is not a subset of peer-to-peer. This is like saying that web search is a subset of client server. File sharing involves many social, economic, political, and legal topics which have nothing to do with the architecture. It's not a sub-topic of the architecture. File sharing is not an application. A file sharing program is an application, and often even those are not peer-to-peer. (Kbrose's recent biased closures of active discussions at Talk:Peer-to-peer should also be noted). - this page is about disambiguating various types of peer-to-peer applications; peer-to-peer file sharing is only one of them. This page is not about disambiguation file sharing from peer-to-peer, which doesn't need disambiguation. Since peer-to-peer file sharing is discussed in the file sharing article the link points there, that does not make it a separate peer-to-peer category. M's intention has long been to make as many articles prominently lead to file sharing (even suggesting to link peer-to-peer to file sharing here) which M worked hard to decimate to a treatment of peer-to-peer file sharing controversies, instead of a multi-faceted discussion of file sharing (that is once was).
