[edit]The tone of the article seems biased. It contrasts criticism of the program...with different criticism of the program. Furthermore, the "ticking tax-bomb" wording is not NPOV. Gabriel.c.drummond.cole (talk) 05:56, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Since this has been open more than a month, I don't want to relist it. The current title and the proposed one are not consistent with MOS:ACROTITLE as pointed out in the discussion. Other suggestions were Pay as you earn (student loan program) and Pay As You Earn (the official name used by the US government). This is a WP:NOGOODOPTIONS case so if anyone disagrees with the outcome, they can open another move request. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 03:39, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Pay as You Earn (PAYE) → PAYE (United States) – "(PAYE)" is not a disambiguating phrase here, but we do need one – see PAYE (disambiguation). There's probably a better one than my suggestion, but neither existing redirect seems suitable as an article title. Surprisingly, we do not have the base titles Pay as You Earn nor Pay-as-you-earn; Pay as you earn links to Pay-as-you-earn tax.So we could use WP:SMALLDETAILS to distinguish this from the tax, but I don't think that's a good idea when the tax gets the vast share of page views. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 11:56, 25 July 2021 (UTC)— Relisted. 2pou (talk) 16:35, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- Move to Pay as you earn (student loan program): The current name is contrary to Wikipedia title conventions (and ambiguous). Incidentally, should this article be merged into Income-based repayment? — BarrelProof (talk) 16:17, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Move to Pay As You Earn (or Pay as You Earn). This is a proper noun naming a specific U.S. federal program. The title is not ambiguous per WP:SMALLDETAILS, although there should be a hatnote to pay-as-you-earn tax. "PAYE" is not an appropriate title per WP:ACRONYMTITLE because the program is not almost exclusively known by that acronym. Station1 (talk) 00:46, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
