For teens?!?!

We have a recurring problem where editors want shows for children -- often aimed at very young children -- to be for teens, young adults, families, etc.

This is a cartoon about talking dogs who are firefighters, based on a cartoon on TVOKids, Nickelodeon and Noggin. It is for children. Young children.

You can watch the thing no matter what age you are. I don't care. That said, Wikipedia say what reliable sources say about a subject. Guess what they're going to say about this movie for young children? - SummerPhDv2.0 23:17, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

New premise and missing cast members

So I checked on this page to see if there was any new info and apparently there's a new premise and a full cast. Tyler Perry, Jimmy Kimmel, Randall Park, and Dax Shepard are now missing from the cast list. Is this something Paramount or Nick confirmed or is the page just getting vandalized? Nationality of film

There has been repeated back and forth editing as to the nationality of this film, even by experienced editors, so I have fully protected the article for a short time. Please come to a consensus as to the nationality of this film here. I'm not sure who is right and am taking no side, but the back and forth must stop. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 07:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Okay, so the Manual of Style says that the nationality is "the country or collaboration within which principal creative control was exercised." The director (Cal Brunker), the production company (Spin Master), the animation studio (Mikros Montreal) and the original series are all Canadian, according to this article about the movie, so Canada was the country with principal creative control. I think the reason that someone added "American" is because of Nickelodeon Movies signing on to present the film, but the movie is not a direct Nickelodeon production since the poster says "Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies and Spin Master Entertainment present a Spin Master Entertainment production." So Spin Master in Canada was the actual producer of the movie. FunhausFrank (talk) 03:40, 5 July 2021 (UTC)

Ordering characters

Right now, the main characters of the film (like Ryder) are listed after and in-between the minor "famous guest star" roles (like the security guards). The film is already having premieres internationally where the end credits' cast listing puts the main characters before the guest roles (photo), and Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Film says to present the actors based on "the prominence of the cast in the film." Should we list the main characters (the ones from the series) before the new guest roles? Maybe two sections "Series characters" and "Guest stars"? FunhausFrank (talk) 13:33, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Lack of relationship to the other films

There are already a number of Paw Patrol films. The article - which reads in ways like a promotion - makes no reference to the rest of the franchise. Namely, there have been a number of Paw Patrol films going on for years. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAW_Patrol#Box_office_performance
