[edit]He has 60 entries in the imdb surely that amounts to notability. PatGallacher (talk) 13:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Some sources indicate he died in 1983. PatGallacher (talk) 18:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- IMDB can not be used to establish notablity, it fails WP:RS. And there are many actors who have had minor roles in many many movies, and are not notable. DENNIS BROWN (T) (C) 18:47, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
I quote WP:ENTERTAINER: "Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television, stage performances, and other productions." I have now found one fairly high profile role he played. Some other programmes and films he appeared in are notable. If you look at "what links here" you will see that there were several red links to him already, which I must admit I wasn't aware of until a few mintues ago. I recognise the article could still do with improvement. PatGallacher (talk) 19:32, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, significant roles in multiple notable films. The article says he had one MINOR role. And WP:V says it must be verifiable by reliable sources. IMDB clearly fails wp:rs, and can't be used for this purpose. I can be used as an informative external link, but it can't be used to verify the accuracy, as it is a user input site and not vetted. Until notability is firmly established, the tags are appropriate. If sources can't be found to establish the facts, then the information should really be removed, since this is a bio. I'm not trying to be hard, but bio's have pretty hard set policies about what you can and can't included, and the expectation for sources is pretty high if you are going to make a claim. Can we clarify if this guy is alive or dead? I suspect that the report of his death at the age of 80 is probably accurate, but we need a source. PatGallacher (talk) 16:10, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
I have added an obituary which unfortunately is in Greek. I hope someone can translate.
