Untitled
[edit]Paul D. Scully-Power of Australia made his flight in 1984, after becoming a U.S. citizen in 1982. At that time, Australian law was such that actively applying for citizenship of another country automatically voided your Australian citizenship (this is no longer the case). So, technically speaking, he was not an Australian citizen when he lanuched. This is reflected in his patch on his spacesuit, showing a US rather than an Australian flag. This has not stopped the Australian media referring to him as an "Aussie". Commking June 2005
Since the Australian Citizenship Act was amended in 2002 he has been elligible to reacquire Australian citizenship (and applications to do so are rarely refused). I wonder if he has done so 66.11.182.143 16:54, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
I'm not sure if it should list him as American or Australian - Citizenship does not change ones Nationality, after all. Consider my vote for the latter. Churba (talk) 20:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Beard
[edit]There are plenty of images of the crew of Skylab (1976) with big beards. The paper citation can be wrong, but do we want to define this better? 2406:3400:21E:2A50:18D5:C5AA:8291:99D7 (talk) 21:38, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
