- Then find a way to add them that doesn't violate the MOS and various standards. The way you added them were gross violation of non-neutral POV and weasel words, non-standard usage of capital letters, referred to the subject by his given name rather than his surname, and in general read like a press release rather than the neutral tone of an encyclopedia. Helpful links have been on your user talk page(s) for years. Please refer to those. Also, you must disclose your COI. JesseRafe (talk) 20:32, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, Jesse, please remember most people who use Wikipedia aren't as familiar or adept as you are with coding nor do they have your 11 years of experience in this space. Since this is an open platform, hopefully, you can continue to help and not just assume the worst of people. I did look at the COI guidelines and it suggests that I leave my proposed edits in this space. Thank you for your time and consideration.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.52.127.100 (talk) 20:50, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- I don't know where the "coding" comes into play, but thank you for formatting this edit request. I would ask that you remember it is reasonable to stop at the first time someone reverted your actions with an explanatory edit summary (which you should use, by the way, you know it's there you've used it 6 times out of your 60 edits) and reflect on why they were undone rather than being stubborn and continue to add them back, and I'd also like to point out that you've had two years to read the links and explanations I left you on your talk page about how to edit and contribute in a constructive manner. Playing innocent doesn't absolve you from the facts. This is an encyclopedia and your relationship with your client is not a concern of the page, so I thank you for placing your edit requests in this format. JesseRafe (talk) 20:58, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
I'm wasn't aware of this talk page until today. I didn't even see these reversions until the edits were complete and I engaged immediately. This is a work computer so I cant' speak to the 60 edits you referenced. I did edit out wrong information from across the page, i.e. I deleted Family Feud from Live Performances" because that was a TV appearance. I edited the Parent section because it was inaccurate as well as the information about NYU, both which were not cited. I eliminated the child's name because they were not referenced in the article. I also cited articles for certain shows that had no citation. You restored all of these and I don't know why but I'll trust your editing skills. I appreciate your thorough nature but the details that were added were done in earnest and not in a press release type of way. These pages are very frustrating as they are often used as an actual encyclopedia but yet they aren't up to date and when Wikipedia becomes a source in which information is pulled from it spreads disinformation. When I reference "coding", I mean that I tried to understand exactly how to enter the COI but was confused. Also, I just want to say, I know you have gotten a lot of flack on your talk page about your "angry" attitude and I do feel a bit attacked here if that's not your intention, then I apologize. There is a lot of anger and hate in the world and honestly, I think we'd all be a bit better if we really tried to understand each other. I was trying to start a dialogue, not an argument. As you saw, after our discussion, I read the proper way to add information and followed that. I will continue to go about this the proper way moving forward but I'm also passionate about making sure the information is correct and current. As it was before today it just seemed like it was out of date. I also won't even go into the fact that some had a giant joke in the 1st paragraph about rabies for weeks and it didn't get corrected, thankfully someone changed it. All this being said, you have a hell of a job as an admin and I can imagine this is just a normal interacton and your allegiance is to the integrity to the page and that is admirable. Keep up the good work and just remember what you take for granted as common knowledge is unknown to others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.52.127.100 (talk) 21:57, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thank for the long comment. Please look at the article which I changed on Friday per your requests. If you still want changes made, please make an entirely new entry, there is no way to make heads or tails out of this. Maybe you can help find references for the things marked citation needed? Or find the whens and whats of what needs clarification? JesseRafe (talk) 15:26, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
