New article
[edit]Firstly, this has had the misfortune of bearing the same name as an non-notable individual whose article was deleted (by way of explaination of the speed of this message)
However I think that this article would be best merged into the article on his football club. Jefffire 14:48, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Why? No other club team has player articles in the club's article. That'd be a disaster to maintain, since there'd be massive cutting and pasting every time there was a transfer, and no place to put information if the player was released. --fuzzy510 04:12, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Premature
[edit]Search Google for either Paul Mayo or "Paul Mayo" in quotes and this football player is not even the first person mentioned. Clearly he has not gained enough fame to warrant this distinction. Also consider that the person that was deleted, the astrophysicist Paul Mayo, is the first person who pops up under a Google search.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.185.15 - September 2006 (talk • contribs)
