Paul Marque
[edit]Hello. Thank you for creating the article Paul Marque. I understand it was translated from the French article, but I did make some edits on the article to hopefully improve it. However, can you find the sources for Marque's birth date, birth place, the age he started ballet and the year he joined the Paris Opera Ballet company? Also, I think the repertoire section would look better as a bullet point list or a table, but the current format still works. Corachow (talk) 20:30, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- I found a french language "lepoint.fr" article which describes his childhood around Dax, and his dance training as a youth. It actually says he began at a dance studio at the age of 5. And then it says he admitted at the age of 10 into the Paris Opera school. It also says he "découvre à 7 ans les stages de Biarritz avec Nicole Cavallin, professeure à l'Ecole de danse" - "discovered at seven years old the stages of Biarritz (a place in France) with Nicole Cavallin, teacher at the School of Dance. So I'm going to say that means he did start learning ballet at 7. It does not mention his birth date. If he joined the Paris Opera Ballet School at age ten, that would be around 2007 or 2008. And 2008 was the date used in the French Wikipedia page... so. The article also provides some background information about his parents. Anyways, I've updated some of the citation needed's that you added. I didn't realize this would be so popular... you seem to have a decent grasp of french even though you don't say so... source:[1]Smellyshirt5 (talk) 00:16, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'm actually going to move this whole conversation over to the article's talk page. Smellyshirt5 (talk) 14:00, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
