Pronunciation?

Adding a note on the correct pronunciation of "Drude" would be great. An online science dictionary [1] suggests 'drüd' (the way I always said it), however some prominent scientists (in the US) pronounce it 'drüdə'. What is the correct pronunciation? not "inexplicable"

Contrary to the claim in this article, his suicide is explained in a recent article in his journal: it was probably due to stress from overworking.
