Pronunciation?
[edit]Adding a note on the correct pronunciation of "Drude" would be great. An online science dictionary [1] suggests 'drüd' (the way I always said it), however some prominent scientists (in the US) pronounce it 'drüdə'. What is the correct pronunciation? not "inexplicable"
[edit]Contrary to the claim in this article, his suicide is explained in a recent article in his journal: it was probably due to stress from overworking.
"He was overwhelmed. [...] Finding no honourable way out, and not communicating his desperation to colleagues at Berlin, Drude committed suicide." - http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/116843695/abstract
