To fork or not to fork, that is the question

[edit]

In my opinion, the article for Patsy Ramsey shouldn't redirect to her daughter but rather should be separate. --Gnosbush 01:06, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Generally speaking, I would tend to oppose having Patsy Ramsey forked from JonBenét Ramsey. Of the 171 words in the Patsy article, everything except Patsy's birth date (29 December 1956) is a rehash of info already in the JonBenét article. --Kralizec! (talk) 04:29, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think this is fine as an article. At least occasionally, a reader will be looking for information on her, not on her daughter, and this is a concise place to find it. And not only the birth date, but also at least two of the external links contain information that would not be found in JonBenét's article. Besides, what's the harm?

I strongly support a separate biography for Patsy Ramsey. While her notoriety is due to the circumstances of her daughter's murder, with the recent arrest of Karr, she (very possibly) joins the ranks of historical figures who have been wrongfully accused. Her story is her own, not her daughter's. Sandover 15:50, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Few people would care or have heard of Patsy where it not for her daughter's death. Jon Benet's is the biggest story and momma's page should be the lesser one. And of course Patsy's page should redirect to her daughter's death for that very reason. ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14B:4401:D5C0:9028:75B3:CB5C:3F24 (talk) 13:15, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't count on that just yet ^--86.143.252.136 21:06, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pageant Title

[edit]

Just to make it clear that Ramsey was Miss West Virginia and NOT Miss West Virginia USA. The two pageants are completely different - Miss West Virginia goes to Miss America and Miss West Virginia USA competes at Miss USA. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 05:48, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Patsy's Headstone?

[edit]

Anyone have an idea why she doesn't have a headstone yet? I visited JonBenét's grave last week, and while JonBenét, Beth, and Patsy's parents have headstones, the grave of Patsy herself is marked only by some edging surrounding it (and the fact that the grass still hasn't grown in yet). In fact, the way things are laid out, one is liable to literally walk on Patsy's grave on the way to JonBenét's. You'd think one of John, Burke, et al. would have some kind of marker erected by now. I would assume as controversial a person as she is they won't lay a stone for a bit after her death. Knowing the creepers of america such as yourself as example - the internet will be flooded with pictures of that stone being vandalized.

Not officially cleared

[edit]

The fact that new DNA tests show that a third person was involved does not "officially clear" the parents. Officials do not in any event "officially clear" anyone.Royalcourtier (talk) 06:59, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
