2007 post
[edit]The short lenght of this article is shameful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.203.12.243 (talk) 19:07, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Weasel words and peacock terms?
[edit]Maybe, but it's a balanced article overall. It's hard not to be subjective with poetry.Red Hurley (talk) 10:37, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
More work needed
[edit]This article needs substantial work to flesh it out as this is one of the most important Irish poets. Reading it Im not that sure that the essence of the man or poet can be felt. eg Influence on later poets such as Seamus Heeney etc fair use quotes should be added to illustrate the quality of his work. A list of biographies and critiques needs to be added. Citations need to be added. The Patrick Kavanagh Poetry award needs its own article. ISBN numbers need to be added to publications. The Language section needs to be simplified and compacted as it seems ludicrous to describe his simple style in this over academic mannerr. Encylopedias are for everyman not rarified Academia. Unusual Layout
[edit]Not sure if it's an error or not, but the odd placement of the portrait of Kavanagh is highly unusual. 86.46.30.77 (talk) 17:58, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
EDIT - Did how I think it should be placed. Crudely. Anyone wants to improve on it, go ahead. 86.46.30.77 (talk) 18:03, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
"Collected Pruse"
[edit]In the list of prose works, the 1967 publication is entitled "Collected Prose". I have just found and old 2nd hand copy and the actual title is "Collected Pruse", Pruse being a word of the poet's own invention. Standard of the article
[edit]This is perhaps the worst written article on wikipedia. Particularly the early life section. Can no-one do better?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.149.97 (talk) 00:25, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- Please have a go. Span (talk) 00:46, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Personal Life Section
[edit]Should there not be a section about his romantic life and familial relationship with his brother? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReginaldRiver (talk • contribs) 14:22, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
