The claim that Toro is one of the most prominent Latino artists living in the United States is cited to a large number of sources. Only two of those sources actually do make that claim. Interestingly, they phrase it exactly the same way: [1]: "Toro is hailed as one of the most prominent Latino artists living in the United States". [2]: "Recognized for his large-scale abstract expressionist paintings, Toro is hailed as one of the most prominent Latino artists living in the United States". Both are press releases for shows in now defunct galleries, and include an artist bio that is virtually identical. It appears the real source of that claim is Toro or his agent, not an independent source. I'm removing the claim. Vexations (talk) 16:03, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Noticing one of the issues with finding sources is the name - he used variations of his name, including Patricio Moreno-Toro, and Patricio Toro. Adding a note here incase someone has time to develop the RS citations further. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 19:09, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
