The contents of the Patravali page were merged into Leaf plate on 26 December 2023 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history. |
The pages overlap significantly. It doesn't appear that the use of tapari in Nepal is different enough from the use of similar plant-based dishware in other places to necessitate its own page. Apocheir (talk) 02:23, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- Somewhat agree. However the title should be kept Tapari. It is still a widely used commodity in Nepal. Calling it Patravali will surely create confusion. Or alternatively change the tiltle to "leaf plates" (which is a redirect currently). Plus, one must note that there are various sub-types of Taparis used for religious purposes that both aricles have not mentioned([1]). nirmal (talk) 10:56, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- I've taken Nirmaljoshi's alternative proposal and merged to Leaf plate, as this gives an English language title which will be easier for readers in English to understand quickly. It allows allows for easier future expansion to traditions elsewhere. Klbrain (talk) 13:58, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 13:58, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
