District don't exists
[edit]It seems there aren`t a district called Pathankot in Punjab: the reference isn´t a true reference about its creation, and the links to India 2011 census data don´t include this district. --Antur (talk) 03:57, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- see link on Fazilka district article (both created post-census) Crusoe8181 (talk) 04:12, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- Gah! So these are the only two districts created since the census, meaning there are now 642 districts? (Not including the Chhattisgarh bifurcations, which have been announced but won't be official until 2012)? Thanks. PhnomPencil (talk) 12:09, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- 3 new ones in Uttar Pradesh, Bhimnagar district is one; cats etc created but whether they use the correct orthography is anyone's guess- appear to be at leat 3 spellings of each. Crusoe8181 (talk) 02:46, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- OK thanks for the info, Crusoe. I'm still wrapping my head around the districts as they were six months ago. I'm glad they mention the tehsils; the census maps include those, so it will be easy to figure out the borders. Cheers, PhnomPencil (talk) 02:55, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
