Tom McWilliams was the first CEO of the company, which didn't have a CTO until we hired Scott Metcalf as CEO, and Tom moved over to CTO.
PathScale's major business was supercomputing interconnect, not compilers.
SiCortex never acquired PathScale's interconnect business. Intel acquired it from QLogic, and that's what the Intel Omni-Path interconnect (OPA) product is based on.
The confusion over names is confounded by the fact that PathScale was kept as a name for the compiler technology.
