Why does Passport stamps redirect here? Passport stamps mean stamps in your actual passport unless your american. Jamie|C 15:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does ..."unless your american"... mean? Americans have "actual" passports, and we receive stamps in them. I'm guessing that you seem annoyed about a passport stamp redirect to this particular site. But drop the anti-american bias in your tone, it makes you look ignorant. Oh, and it should be 'you're'

macchu pichu in peru also stamps passports dunno about any others but i think it deserves a mention —Preceding unsigned comment added by Numberwang (talkcontribs) 15:51, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Passport stamps no longer links to this page, at least as of March 2022. Blackba (talk) 17:51, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Explorer Edition.jpg

[edit]

Image:Explorer Edition.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

National Park Regions

[edit]

The NPS has used seven regions for administration since 1995. The Passport to Your National Parks program, run by Eastern National, uses the nine in existence when the program started in 1986. Shouldn't there be a mention as to the fact the passport book map contains regions different from the "regions" link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.102.36.46 (talk) 04:07, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Passport to Your National Parks" versus "National Park Passport Stamps"

[edit]

Why is the official name of Eastern National's publication -- "Passport to Your National Parks" -- not used in any relevant Wikipedia article that I've found? Shouldn't these articles use the proper title of the stamp program and publication? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.3.8.253 (talk) 15:35, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The name of the product -- "Passport to Your National Parks" -- is copyrighted by Eastern National. I don't know how that affects usage on Wikipedia, though. Blackba (talk) 17:51, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NPTC Convention Relevance?

[edit]

How is the 2012 location for the NPTC Convention relevant for this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.3.8.253 (talk) 16:19, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Which do you think looks better? This table's a bit clunky in part because the NPS's regions haven't been 100% consistent over the years.

The current Featured stamps table:

Year National Stamp Regional Stamps
2018 Appalachian National Scenic Trail
2019 Grand Canyon National Park

...or this?

Year National Stamp North Atlantic Mid-Atlantic National Capital Southeast Midwest Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest & Alaska West Southwest Special
2018 Appalachian NST Eleanor Roosevelt NHS Steamtown NHS Vietnam Women's Memorial Biscayne NP James A. Garfield NHS Minuteman Missile NHS Minidoka NHS Hubbell Trading Post NHS Valles Caldera National Preserve -
2019 Grand Canyon NP Home of FDR NHS Fort Monroe NM President's Park Cape Hatteras National Seashore William Howard Taft NHS Yucca House NM Hagerman Fossil Beds NM San Francisco Maritime NHP New Orleans Jazz NHP -

Collector's Edition of the Passport

[edit]

I know it's not really a major issue, but there is also a "Collector's Edition" of the Passport to Your National Parks that was introduced in February 2016 [1] that's not mentioned in the article. Would it be worthwhile to bring it up? Blackba (talk) 17:51, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
