History:

In 2007, Pascack Valley Hospital filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy leading to the closure of the hospital and the 291 beds. In 2008, Hackensack University Medical Center opened a satellite emergency room out of the old facility once known as Pascack Valley Hospital. The satellite hospital aimed to serve the local community for immediate healthcare needs. The satellite emergency department serviced the area until June 1, 2013. Hackensack University Medical Center and Legacy Hospital Partners, Inc. of Texas applied for a certificate to re-open the facility and serve the Pascack and Northern Valley communities. In February 2012, the New jersey Health Commissioner approved the application to open a fully functioning hospital in Westwood, NJ.

In June 2013, HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley opens its doors to the surrounding communities.

Services/Level of Care:

As of May 2014, HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley is a full service, world-class hospital. The 128- bed community hospital offers all the resources of a large facility with more personalized care. The boutique styled hospital provides patients will all private rooms with en suite. Patient concierge caters to the patients with services that include: manicures, dry cleaning, car wash, massage, haircuts or hair styling. Valet parking is free to all patients along with free parking lots throughout the facility. Room service is provided through the dining facility with as many as 26 daily entrees. HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley offers other amenities include a gift shop, café, and dining facility within the hospital. The facility is open 24 hours a day. The hospital features a state-of-the-art obstetrical unit, an intensive care unit, emergency department, five operating rooms, one special procedure room, and a cardiac catheterization laboratory. HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley services include:

I made a copyedit and included what seemed usable from the above. I got rid of some promotion and unencyclopedic detail. This could probably use some additional eyes because I just ran through it quickly and so the placement of redundant items is different than requested. But it's an improvement. Article is much better now after the copyedits. I had removed a significant amount of puffery and promotional content a couple of edits prior to this copyedit, but there was still lots of work to be done. Following this copyedit, the article now reads more like an encyclopedia article than an advertisement for the subject. Cmr08 (talk) 03:17, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
