The result of the move request was: consensus to move the page to Pasadena Media at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 20:05, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Pasadena Community Network → Pasadena_Community_Access_Corporation – this is the legal name of the organization since 1983 and it is no longer branded as PCN Kurlysticks (talk) 05:13, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

- Why not Pasadena Media? — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 09:55, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per WP:COMMONNAME corporate/official/legal names are not necessarily what the article should be called, but would be mention in the article in the lead line at least. Common name seems to be Pasadena Media. Spshu (talk) 14:50, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- The common name (in this case, the d/b/a) could change as soon as the next board meeting, as it has several times throughout its history. The legal name cannot change as fluidly, so Pasadena Community Access Corporation would offer a true permalink. Kurlysticks (talk) 21:03, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Then move it when it does, that's what redirects are for. Besides, legal names are probably easier to change than d/b/a names - changing legal name requires filing one bit of paper with a small fee; changing a d/b/a name is extremely costly as it requires changing all your branding, signage, letterheads, logos, website, business cards....
- Oppose and move to Pasadena Media. jamacfarlane (talk) 23:09, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose and move to Pasadena Media. Apologies, I'm new at this. After reading Wikipedia:Article_titles#Deciding_on_an_article_title I totally agree with you all. I disagree with the offhanded notion that this legal name would be easier to change since it would require several City Council actions on top of those of the Board of Directors. As I said, the d/b/a change has happened numerous times in 35 years, yet the legal name stands. We should let the board know how costly it would be to change the d/b/a again though. Kurlysticks (talk) 04:10, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Kurlysticks Wikipedia is an encylopaedia, and we document the world as it is, not propose how it should be. We have no role to "let the board know how costly it would be to change the d/b/a again" as you suggest. But I am glad you support the move to Pasadena Media. If the d/b/a name changes in the future, the article can be moved: Wikipedia can be changed! jamacfarlane (talk) 15:43, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
