[edit]Great, thanks to whoever wrote this up, I assume in response to my request on the Lake of the Ozarks page.
Still wondering though, who started the party? I'd like to see some actual history here, I wish I could add some myself, but I don't know it.
My biggest question though is, who started the party? SOMEBODY started Party Cove, and I'd like to know who we can thank for it. They may well have set off the longest running party in history.
Does anyone know enough, or have the resources, to trace this back to the original party boy who decided to lash his and his friend's boats together, and dub their creation Party Cove? I would like to send him a medal.
July 28, 2007 revert
[edit]The "preacher" quote and other information taken out was documented and seemed useful, so I reverted the edit. The section could use some cleanup, indeed, but the information and the article it cites seem important for this page. Wtroopwept 18:53, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- The preacher quote and celebrity rumors are simply non-notable and smack of tabloid journalism. Ditto the redneck quote. Your blanket revert also put a few errors back into the article as well as the flicker spam link. Vsmith 22:25, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- How was the flickr images spam? It was a link to a simple search for party cove, which humorously the search results were all photos I had taken during the past month down there. I think I would know if my photos constitute spam, and sir they obviously DO NOT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.199.54 (talk • contribs) 00:53, 29 July 2007
- Please refer to WP:SPAM, if as you say, those were your pictures, then the addition of the link does qualify as spam. Also, please do not impersonate some anonymous editor with a phoney signature. Vsmith 01:31, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't add the link, and sorry that I have not yet created an account, so don't accuse me of posting as someone I am not. Even more amusingly, I think YOU should read WP:SPAM as there were absolutely no advertisements of any kind contained within the images, and since I did not post the link to them they were not promotional in anyway... at the time the link was posted my photos did not show up, and as for my photos that show up now, all that they were were vacation pictures. I don't care if you don't want the pictures of the area linked, but call it like it is and don't try to lie and call it spam when it QUITE OBVIOUSLY IS NOT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.199.54 (talk • contribs) 00:53, 29 July 2007
I think that the Riverfront Times article is an important resource. Can anyone recommend a way to include it? Wtroopwept 04:38, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Removed tabloid journalism rumors and insult to Islam again. Vsmith 23:07, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
White Trash Revert
[edit]Not sure why my "see also white trash" section was reverted. It seems quite relevant: Party Cove virtually defines the term... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.222.213.203 (talk) 13:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
