Initial comments

[edit]
  • ""Partition" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her self-titled fifth studio album (2013)" - I'd write this as "Partition" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her self-titled fifth studio album released in 2013 - just a suggestion though
  • The lead summarizes the article well, so this passes
  • "The production was handled by Timberlake, Beyoncé, Dean, Boots" - why is 'Boots' under his pseudonym here whereas everybody else mentioned isn't?
  • "I got to the mic, I'm like, 'Oh, press Record'"? - should record be capitalized?
  • "Midway the following year, the writers of Spin magazine placed it at number four on the list of the 57 best songs so far" - this part is unreferenced, and also "midway the following year" sounds like guesswork, could it be pinned down to June/July 2014?
  • The first paragraph in the Synopsis section is unreferenced

  • This link is dead too, but I'm not sure where it is used in the article

On hold

[edit]

Like the last one I reviewed, this is overall a well written and solid article. The concerns above are relatively minor, so I'll put this on hold for the standard seven days until everything is addressed. Thanks Jaguar 17:01, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Close - not listed

[edit]

I'm sorry to do this, but I'll have to close this due to inactivity. It is such a nice article though, so if all of the above can be addressed please come to me again and I will probably 'quick-pass' it like I did to the inactive Rocket GAN. Thanks Jaguar 16:31, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
