"The part III"

[edit]

is not how it is ever referred to in Cambridge, AFAIK. Jfr26 22:35, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - it is almost always referred to simply as "Part III". In fact, it is extremely rare to refer to it as "CASM", the title of this article. I would suggest moving the article to "Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mathematics (University of Cambridge)". Bluap 17:39, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Difficulty?

[edit]

Isn't the CASM supposed to be especially difficult? Some detail on this should be in the article - describing it as "roughly equivalent to MSci" is banal. Also, making "Part III" a redirect and a wikilink in the article is quite silly. Bwithh 18:10, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Part III is wider

[edit]

Part III shouldn't just redirect here. Part III refers to 4th years of several other subjects in Cambridge, not just the Maths one. Jfr26 22:36, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

International students

[edit]

Are there really just 10-20 international students each year? Most of the 100 or so students taking the exam 'Not for honours' are non-British. There are a lot of EU students but it's not clear in the article whether they are meant to be included in the international tally. (abt28) July 21

Reassessing

[edit]

I am changing the quality rating to Start. This is definitely (visibly) above Stub level, and more than fulfils the technical requirements for Start. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LegesRomanorum (talkcontribs) 20:39, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't this just part of the Mathematical Tripos Article?

[edit]

Does this need to be a separate article? 162.12.218.143 (talk) 17:00, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
