Article translated from Norwegian bokmål/riksmålswikipedia
[edit]This article is a translation from the original on the Norwegian bokmål/riksmålswikipedia. The article won the first article contest and was written for the competition. I will try my best to translate it, any help in correcting mistakes is most welcome. Ulflarsen (talk) 16:54, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I very much appreciate that the article I have written in Norwegian is translated into English. For Norw. Bydel (literary «part of the city») I suggest Borough, as the Bydel today is headed by an electoral body, and the Bydel administration runs a substantial part of the total municipal services in Oslo. Cf. also category Boroughs of Oslo. Helge Høi (talk) 20:11, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable, we can change to that. brgds - Ulflarsen (talk) 18:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- The article would be a B-class (or even better) if there wasn't unfinished translation work (wikilinks like Bydel Frogner etc.). Also the article should be furnished with the {{Translation/Ref}} template. __meco (talk) 19:44, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Copyedit October 2011
[edit]Hey all. I've just completed a copyedit of this article for style and clarity, although much prose work is still required in terms of making this a GA/FA article. My general concern with the article is the lack of grammatical parallelism, which is a problem I've also encountered when translating articles from Norwegian. There were also a few sentences which made very little sense, and which I've marked accordingly with the template {{huh}}. After fixing those problems, my suggestion would be to pop a request over at WP:GOCE to get it rewritten by someone who can write good plain English. Best wishes. --Eisfbnore • talk 13:14, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
