First film to show off Clara Bow's acting style?

[edit]

I'm missing all films between Capital Punishment and Parisian Love, unfortunately, but this was the first one where I really sense her acting style coming to the fore. Specifically, in spite of the fact the movie is mostly unwatchable, Bow handles her part as though it's the role of her life. Her ability to push and pull expressions depending on who is watching her is just a joy to watch. The dance sequence with her and Donald Keith about halfway in is great, and the woman who plays her mother is an excellent foil for Bow. There is one Norma Desmond moment ("I am an Apache!"), but I'm going to write that off to bad direction. --Bkengland (talk) 02:21, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
