Dual North American airdates
[edit]We have had a rather lengthy discussion about this subject in regards to the Company Man episode. I see with this episode that at this point we are going ahead and alowing dual airdates in the infobox. Can we go ahead and keep it this way? --Cooleyez229 08:34, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
No,you haven't read the conversation have you.Nobody came up with that consensus, adding dual air dates would only be biased towards the united states, and even if it is an American show,it did not air there first.Nobody seemed to complain when it was airing in the states first hugh?Rodrigue 13:34, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Preview Info
[edit]I edited the info on the preview. It said that Sylar and Peter would "finally meet", but they had met previously, in the episode "Homecoming". Peter was even seen to use Sylar's powers while training with Claude.
Also, this was my first edit, so I hope I didn't screw anything up.Fountofuselessinfo 21:12, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah but Peter didn't know who Sylar was at that point. I think they're going to meet and actually know who the other is. 203.14.180.97 09:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Season Final?
[edit]Is this the season finale? It doesnt seem theres any more episode leaks after this, and there was no preview for the next episode, so is this the season finale or is it going on a break again? Anung Mwka 03:02, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- On a break. Won't be back until April 23. 24.83.211.180 03:21, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Presidency
[edit]Shouldn't it be noted that Linderman told Nathan not that he would be President, but that he would be in the White House, a "heartbeat away" from the Presidency?Mawied 07:13, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- That is an odd thing to say, though, because the Vice President (presumably to whom Linderman referred) doesn't live in the White House; he has a separate residence. Though, I suppose "Number One Observatory Circle" doesn't have quite the same ring to it when you're making a big offer. :-) --ΨΦorg 03:25, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Candice is a shapeshifter?
[edit]I don't think Candice is a shapeshifter. It looked to me that she has the ability to alter peoples' perceptions.
If she was just a shapeshifter, she wouldn't have been able to hide Simone's dead body on Isaac's bed.
- Candice's power could either be interpreted as shapeshifting (changing her form) or illusions (making her different). As she hid the body of Simone, her power is that of illusions. This may be a reference to Iris from the Xanth novels, who was a seductress who used illusions
- The graphical effect of the power also affects the area around her, and not just her. Webrunner 18:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Please sign your posts, it makes it hard to communicate. 137.82.96.26 20:26, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- However, it's important to note that simone's body was still missing after Candice discontinued her illusion/shapeshift. This may null the idea that she changes the perceptions of those around her, which in turn supports the idea of her being a shapeshifter. This is hardly a claim, but simply a hopefully useful inference.
- For future reference since it's all been changed now, the actress confirmed in a recent interview that Candice's power is "illusion control." 24.83.211.180 11:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup
[edit]I've re-added the (valid) cleanup tag which was removed with no rationale as to why. Matthew 20:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- It appears the tag has been removed again by somebody[1], his edit summary states exactly why the section requires cleanup. Matthew 12:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Isaac in the painting?
[edit]Was it Isaac in the painting? It looked like Peter to me. 137.82.96.26 20:25, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it was Issac, remember when hiro visited the future he saw Issac brainless and dead on the floor? Toxic Ninja 21:01, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I dunno.....and the screenshot isn't good enough for me to tell. Sylar could be doing it to any man. 137.82.96.26 03:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Look again. It is Isaac. On the Wiki page of "Paintings of Isaac," people have added that it is him. The man in the painting looks JUST like Isaac. 24.83.211.180 09:19, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's what I thought too. Here's a screenshot: http://i16.tinypic.com/2hmevew.jpg 24.83.211.180 23:13, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Parts in french
[edit]If some of you are interested here are a translation of the part in (Bad, except for the last sentence by the haitian) french :
On the phone :
Haitian : Yes i have the girl, what do you want me to do ? (We look at claire...) Haitian : Marseille
Later :
Angela Petrelli : At least now she will be in security. But not thanks to you. Haitian : Listen, i've done everything i could. In the end she will have found her own way.
Virtualblackfox 22:03, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Cool. I think it should be added to the article. 24.83.211.180 00:38, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- They should have spoken in Haitian Creole language. :) Then it would be more difficult to translate (as there are not many Haitian Creole speakers), and would keep some mystery. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kinghajj (talk • contribs) 06:09, 6 March 2007 (UTC).
- Where is the "trivia" section of this article. I had translated what they said in French and now what I wrote is in the "discussion" page? WTF? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.250.78.243 (talk) 12:56, 10 March 2007 (UTC).
Reason for reverting
[edit]I hope I don't offend anyone by reverting this version. It's just that I don't think a moment-by-moment account is necessary, having written those kind of summaries before. Maybe the article could be expanded, but I think it would just be best to avoid writing out everything that happens. Because then it make for very long plot summary and the article will be tagged. I hope I don't offend anyone. Thanks. 24.83.211.180 22:59, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
"Previously on Heroes"
[edit]"The "Previously on Heroes" opening is spoken and written in Japanese instead of the usual English. " <-- Did this only happen in the Canadian version? This didn't happen in the US version. Tazzy531 03:12, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I was curious about that myself. I didn't remember any Japanese, which stinks. I <3 Japanese.Kaoskastle 03:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't hear it either, but I didn't remove it because I did miss a few seconds of the Previously on Heroes thing. Darn. Could this be speculation (or just plain made up?!)?Peace, ♣Tohru Honda13♣ 03:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- It does show in the Canadian version (see here - translation "a summary up to the previous episode"). --Pentasyllabic 04:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I managed to find a copy. It was indeed in Japanese. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. :x Valaqil 15:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I know for a fact that when I saw it, it was not in Japanese, but in the standard English. I would remember if it were Japanese. I'm changing the statement to reflect that. -Platypus Man | Talk 14:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Scalp?
[edit]At end. "He starts slicing Peter's head as Peter howls in pain. A few drops of blood and a piece of scalp fall to the floor, and the episode ends." Just having seen it, it doesnt look like a piece of scalp, it looks like a lock of hair. Thats what it says in this version too 203.211.122.171 06:21, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was hair. dposse 12:52, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's definitely a piece of scalp with hair on it. There is no way that was simply a tuft of hair. --Kmsiever 14:09, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see ANY scalp link here. dposse and the other person are correct. I'm changing it back to a tuft of hair. 24.83.211.180 14:50, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the image. I must be getting old. That's not what I saw at all. My bad. --Kmsiever 16:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Haha no worries. I'm glad it's not scalp, otherwise I'd be scarred (no pun intended) for life. ;o) 24.83.211.180 19:44, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- If you watch the ending again, it was dripping blood and a piece of hair that we saw fall to the ground, not a piece of a scalp. Don't believe me? someone watch the episode again on NBC.com and take a screenshot. dposse 16:14, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[2] [3][4] here are some sources that verify that it was a lock of his hair. i've added them to the article to verify the infomation, per WP:V dposse 16:23, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Do we really need three sources (or even one) just to prove it was hair and not scalp? It's not a terribly important detail imho. --Pentasyllabic 01:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well if there was a piece of scalp it might imply that Peter wasn't able to use Claire's healing ability which is the the few drops of blood and the tuft of hair seemed to make out to me. This is only my opinion and speculation though. InsaneZeroG 02:02, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- To prevent edit wars and full protection of this article, yes, we need all three references. dposse 03:24, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

By the way, its pretty obvious that this is going to give Peter the Scar future hiro mentioned.

Consistency
[edit]In "Company Man", the fact that Global (Canada) aired the show a day earlier is mentioned in the "Trivia" section. In "Parasite", it's mentioned at the beginning of the article. We should be consistent between shows as to where the information is written. Personally, I'd put them both in "Trivia" since it's not related to the story itself. Waiting for comments. -- Lyverbe 17:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- In both, the trivia sections should be removed and the content in each should be transferred to elsewhere in the article. --Kmsiever 18:30, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. If trivia can be integrated into the article, it should be done. Adding a trivia section is, in my opinion, a last resort in case trivia cannot be integrated. dposse 18:32, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- sorry I did not see this before i saw the trivia removed and added back.
- But i don't think the entire trivia section should be removed. For eg, the video game that was played by Niki. The name of the game and the fact that it has not yet been released outside the Heroes story line should not be part of the plot, there's no reason to. It is simply a trivia and should stay in the section. Z3u2 02:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

a consensus to remove the trivia section?
[edit]I don't see a consensus made. Dposse, please kindly show me where the consensus was made on the issue of removing the entire "trivia" section. Or were you concluding that a consensus was made from two users who posted the suggestion two min apart is a consensus (since u removed the trivia section immidiately after that)? Some details, such as the video game that was played, has no significance towards the plot. There's no reason to put such information in there. Please discuss and allow others to have time to contribute. There's several people that continue adding info into the Trivia section, clearly they think such a section is needed. Z3u2 08:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed, there is consensus trivia is bad, please see WP:AVTRIV. Matthew 08:59, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- I see. I did a quick read, a trivia section is not necessary bad, but should be avoided. The contexts should be merged to the main article if possible, or rename the category name to something else, otherwise it should be left in the trivia section. Am I correct? Several points currently listed under Trivia, perhaps they could be moved to a different location (or simply removed), because i do not see a place for them in "Plot" section. Z3u2 09:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- If trivia could not be integrated into the article or is uncited, for example, then it should be removed, generally a lot of stuff people place in these sections is often just speculation "it is a reference", "presumably" etc. Matthew 09:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

- I do understand the need for a trivia section and do agree with the current content of it in episode articles. All I was asking for in my previous subject was for the location of information to be identical between articles. I'm in favor of the trivia section and agree with Z3u2's comments. -- Lyverbe 12:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, here's my two cents on how to limit or eliminate the trivia section.
The first comment (the preview in Japanese) appears to have already been integrated into the opening sentence of the article, so we can drop that. The second comment (Peter's Scar) I think should be dropped all together. I know many are excited to try to link Future Hiro's predictions to current events, however, if we try to guess at every injuty Peter recieves, it will become pointless. If in the next episode, we do see Peter with a permanent scar, then we can link the two events The third comment (Ring Tone) could also be integrated easily. If we could identify the ring tone, or at least give a description of the ringtone in the main article both times that it rings, then that piece of trivia would be moot. The fourth comment (FBI agent names), I now realize that no one gave a summary for when the two FBI agents stormed into Nathan's office. If someone could add that ( I don't trust my memory to do it myself) then we could integrate that bit of trivia knowledge The fifth comment, (Heavanly Sword), would it be okay to simply state: Jessica Sanders still has control over Niki's body, posing as her as she plays Heavanly Sword with her son Micah. However, is getting suspicious of her due to a clue left by Niki, a picture of Nathan on her husband's pillow. The sixth comment, now that we have the translation, both in the trivia section and the discussion page, I think they can be easily thrown into the main section
I realize the spirit of Wikipedia would have me edit all this myself, however, I don't want to risk annoying anyone. Instead, I'll wait for opinions. ~ Ytoabn 07:08 am March 07, 2007
- When a number of people agree on something, that's a consenus. That's what happened at the topic above this one. But, yeah, you should check out WP:AVTRIV. dposse 15:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- if you call two users agreeing and two users disagreeing is a consensus to remove the trivia section. Clearly we have different understandings of what consensus means.
- anyway I agree with Ytoabn on most of his/her points. Currently the fbi names are not integrated into the article. It would be nice of dposse to cleaify (here, on the discussion page) why you want to continue removing it without integrating it to the article. I didn't add that info, and I do not have a citation for it. But if u doubt if it's true perhaps you could request a citation (as Matthew did) BEFORE removing it entirely. And I still think the fact that Heavanly Sword is a game still un-released is NOT part of the plot and should be awarded to another section, the trivia section seems to be a fine place. Z3u2 17:31, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

- The infomation on the FBI agents is not sourced and sounds like a non notable original research to me. We could put the infomation about the game not being released yet into the introduction, like we did with the infomation about Stan Lee's cameo at the Unexpected (Heroes) article. That would be an acceptable compromise for everyone, right? dposse 17:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay. As I am the one who first attempted to merge the trivia into the article, I'll briefly say my piece on it. After dposse's comments, I decided to be bold in merging the triva, per WP:AVTRIV, as it did not seem, at that time, to be a major edit. From the Japanese, to Heavenly Sword, to CRM 114, all were easily placed without fuss. If we want to re-add a trivia section and find it necessary, then I can be in agreement on that. It just seemed more cohesive to the article to have information placed within the plot than having it as a separate section. Valaqil 16:30, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Sylar's escape
[edit]what I still don't get is how Sylar managed to turn off the IV if it was still affecting him with the fluid that would cause his brain to lose control of his powers, any ideas?Temari of Wind13 04:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- He's appeared to "play possum" several times before- with Eden in the cells, pretending to be powerless; Playing dead for Hank the Doctor. I'd say he was doing it again- he is incredibly powerful, remember. It's possible he somehow adapted to the paralyzing solution - he did say he'd stopped it "for some time now" and admitted to begging for Mohinder's life on his behalf (remarkably compassionate for a supposedly insane killer - I must admit it's a little difficult to think of him as wholly "evil" since the events of "Six Months Ago" and also since his character has been fleshed out a bit). Maybe it will be expanded on, maybe not. We still don't know what he took from Molly Walker's father (the frozen-at-the-table guy)- perhaps some kind of enhanced immune response, including drugs and poisons (yes I know, speculation; I'm not asking for article inclusion though :P ). But whatever the reason, it might be easiest explained by saying "Because it was dramatic and very good for the storyline." 203.14.180.100 08:51, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- i dun think this is a good place to discuss, it's not a forum. (but just to add to the conversation, why does he need any special power to turn off the IV? his arm can't move, but his head/upper body can. It'd be very easy for him to just turn his head and use he teeth to switch off the IV)
- ...Well where else would we do it? This IS the discussion page. Would you rather we discussed it in the main page of the article? On what you said, his head was a good 4 or 5 feet from the IV so there is no way in hell he could get up there with his teeth. Unless he stole some kind of Mr Fantastic-esque power. Also, learn how to sign your posts please, or refrain from posting. 203.14.180.100 04:10, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- this is wikipedia, not a fan site for general discussions. Watch the video again then u'd see the switch (not the actual drug) is right next to his head) Z3u2 09:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

- Excuse me, how is it not relevant? Someone was asking how Sylar managed to stop the IV feed given that it *supposedly* nulled his powers. How can that NOT be related to the episode and article considering it was one of the penultimate scenes? I think you just got beaten up too many times as a kid and now you're "fighting back". - WP:NPA, and it's only relevant if it's going to affect the content of the article. Whether he turned it off with his mind or with his hand is fairly immaterial unless some events later in the show reveal its significance. Cigarette 01:13, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
