History of the name

When the theatre changed its name to "Paramount," there was already a Paramount Theatre in existence in Seattle. The duplicate names resulted in some legal drama, and the original Paramount was forced to change its name to Bruen's 45th St Theatre (Now The Guild 45th Theatre).

I know this, but I do not have a source. If anyone knows of any, it should probably be added to the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.61.41.160 (talk) 23:22, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Schnitzer Concert Hall

Why is this theater mentioned in this article? It's in Portland, not Seattle. There are other Paramount Theater's all over the country. Why mention one in Oregon? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.26.63.235 (talk) 05:18, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

"Northwest" in name; Commons inconsistency

I noticed that the corresponding Commons category for this article is named Commons:Category:Paramount Northwest Theater, and at the top of that page a note says the "Paramount Theater ... [was] formerly [the] Paramount Northwest Theater". The problem is, there is no mention of the name "Paramount Northwest Theater" anywhere in the Wikipedia article. Does anyone have information they can add that supports that name and says when it was in use? Regardless, if that is now the former name, the Commons category should probably be moved to the same name as the article (and with the spelling "Theatre", since all of the relevant citations appear to indicate that that is the most widely used spelling, including the HistoryLink article and the theater's own official web page). Anyway, something needs to be added about the "Paramount Northwest Theater" name, if that was indeed the name at some point in time. SJ Morg (talk) 12:55, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
