Alifanov
[edit]IJReid, thought you should be aware... When writing Eichstaettisaurus I found that Alifanov has a number of what I would consider to be minority opinions (e.g. his membership of Ardeosauridae is not found by many analyses). You may want to check additional sources. Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 07:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah the biggest problem is simply a lack of sources on the taxa in question. Every article that mentions Pseudosaurillus for example cites it as "paramacellodidae" sensu Estes 1983, except for Alifanov who places it within the family. Durotrigia was even worse, essentially no other papers mention it. Extinct squamate phylogeny is about as consistent as extinct mammal phylogeny, both of which are very bad. - Fair enough. There really just is not enough work being done... Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 05:31, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
