Australian explanation

[edit]

Here's a link to the Australian broadcaster's explaination -- http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-08-31/paralympic-classifications-explained/4203720?section=paralympics -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 10:22, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

LexiDecoder

[edit]

This was developed to explain classification to the GBR audience during the London Paralympics: http://lexi.channel4.com/athletics.html (the swimming and cycling versions are particularly useful, I think - helps explain why competitors with very different-seeming disabilities line up in the same class) Sportygeek (talk) 07:41, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Current IPC classification system??

[edit]

There's lots of really interesting history here, but suspect most people will be coming to the article to find out about the current IPC athletics classification system. From that perspective, lots of big gaps. Ambulant cerebral palsy classes (T35, T36, T37, T38)? T40 (classification)? T42-46? F51-F58 field classifications? (I'm doing work on some of the individual classification pages, and some athlete ones. Will get back to this eventually if nobody else does, but it might take me a while) Sportygeek (talk) 07:29, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
