I'll be reviewing the GA for "Paper or Plastic". I look forward to reading the article, and will adding to the review as I go :)! Giacobbe talk 19:46, 12 May 2017 (UTC) Reviewer: (CA)Giacobbe (talk · contribs) 19:46, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Overall
[edit]- Quick question: Why are all of your sources archived? They are barely a year old lol.
- It is always good to archive your sources to avoid link rot and link decay in the future. Aoba47 (talk) 22:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- Images or quote boxes would help spruce the article up a bit.
- I do not believe any additional images are necessary for this article; I cannot think of an additional image that would further illustrate the material beyond what is present in the text (especially since it is a very short article). There is actually a quote box in the "Music video" section. Aoba47 (talk) 22:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- References should include both the work and the publisher, I've noted that several references are lacking such. I understand that some magazines and online media are published under the same name. In that case I would identify the publisher as such. For example 'Source Example Magazine' would be published under 'Source Example Inc/Ltd/LLC/etc'. Generally they state what they are published under (or their legal title) in the 'About Us' or 'Contact Us' section.
- I am pretty sure the references are fine as they currently stand and contain the work and the publisher where appropriate. Aoba47 (talk) 22:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Intro
[edit]- "It was released as the fourth promotional single from the record."
- Change to "Paper or Plastic" or "The song" — You refer to "Paper or Plastic" as it in the previous sentence, and in the sentence immediately following the one I quoted, you refer to it as the track.
- Revised. Aoba47 (talk) 22:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- "Critical response to the song was mixed; some music critics praised the sound while Mike Wass of Idolator criticized it alongside the other promotional singles for the album."
- First bold — Change to "Paper or Plastic", same reasoning as above.
- Second bold — Kinda sounds like you're giving Wass undue weight, might I suggest changing the sentence to - ""Paper or Plastic" garnered generally mixed responses from contemporary music critics; some praised the songs "unusually restrained" sound, while others criticized it alongside the album's previously released promotional singles.
- Revised. Aoba47 (talk) 22:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- "which Candy envisioned as a satire on political and socioeconomic repression of women and misogyny"
- First bold — You can link to political satire.
- Second bold — You can link to women's rights.
- Third bold — You can link to as well misogyny as well.

Composition
[edit]- An audio sample would also go a long way to help give the reader context.

Final thoughts
[edit]- Other than what I've stated above, everything looks to be very well done. Great work! Giacobbe talk 20:08, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

- @Aoba47: After reviewing the article a second time, I believe it meets all necessary criteria for GA status. Great work, Aoba47! Giacobbe talk 22:47, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
