Panzergrenadiers
[edit]The term panzergrenadier is not used in Sweden. The correct translation of "pansarskyttesoldater" is armoured or mechanized infantry. 161.52.14.139 (talk) 15:11, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Incorrect. The pansarskytte doctrine is the same as the panzergrenadier doctrine.--Blockhaj (talk) 20:31, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- No, you are incorrect. The fact that they have the same doctrine does not mean that the same word is used. The English word is armoured or mechanized infantry. Panzergrenadier is the German term, it is not used in Swedish. Please provide sources or undo the change. 161.52.14.139 (talk) 15:09, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- The german term is used because there is no proper english term for that doctrine (see the article Panzergrenadier). Armoured and mechanized infantry refers to a different doctrine and thus it is improper to translate to and link to such. The Swedish article for sv:pansarskytte is interlinked with the article Panzergrenadier.--Blockhaj (talk) 11:47, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
