Many Pandes of Nepal are of Kshatriya descent like the great minister general Kalu Pande, Damodar Pande (first Prime Minister of Nepal). They are called Pande Khalak (पाँडे खलक) or Pande Kaji.(पाँडे काजी) Airkeeper (talk) 04:46, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

MISLEADING INFORMATION: Not All Pandey's are Brahmins. Pandey get CASTE QUOTA benefits in INDIA reserved for scheduled caste , tribes and other lower caste as per Indian constitution.....Brahmins don't get Caste Quota. Anyone can have “Pandey” surname in India,
