[edit]The article maintenance tags were added as the article doesn't cite sufficient references. For example under the `Early history` section, the article says that the family moved to Konni because of torture from Thirumalai Nayak and settled there circa 79 CE. But Thirumalai Nayak lived between 1623 and 1659 CE.
