French streaming charts
[edit]If you did not understand I just want to tell you that since 2014, French charts is divided into two weekly charts: Donwload charts and Streaming charts. They are both official charts rankings in France. --Dani tefe (talk) 14:28, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- I understand what you said perfectly. Nobody would deny that the chart is official; I simply told you that adding a streaming chart peak while the main chart peak is already there is unnecessary, as it is a component chart and we do not do this for the US, so it should not be done for France either. Panda (song) → Panda (Desiigner song) – The content of Panda (song) should be moved to "Panda (Desiigner song)" and its old page should be redirected to "Panda (disambiguation)" like other songs.
- Panda (song) (content) → Panda (Desiigner song)
- Panda (song) (title)Panda (disambiguation)

- Oppose. Pageviews indicate this song is WP:PRIMARYUSAGE by a factor of 100:1. Since there is only WP:ONEOTHER song, which is linked in the hatnote, it does no one any good to force searchers to find the two songs buried in the Panda dab page. Station1 (talk) 09:09, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Uncontroversial support per WP:DISAMBIGUATION while Panda (Astro song) exists. Though it'd be nice to see a chart position for the Chilean song. NB Station1 has been repeatedly warned that his constant and (we have to assume by now deliberate) agitation against disambiguation rules and misreading of WP:PRIMARYUSAGE will eventually land him at ANI and a request for a ban from RM activity. Station1, if you don't agree with the current set up then start an RfC to change it. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:46, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- There's already been an RfC, which upholds the section of WP:DISAMBIGUATION that states: "In individual cases consensus may determine that a parenthetically disambiguated title that is still ambiguous has a primary topic, but the threshold for identifying a primary topic for such titles is higher than for a title without parenthetical disambiguation." Station1 (talk) 08:53, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- I hadn't seen that obviously. So that is the source of the disruption? That poorly attended RfC did end with the non-admin closing did not make it a license for every article. The Jackson Thriller album has been a source of disruption in titling for years, we live with it because of a local consensus. "In rare and narrowly defined circumstances" where song editors are pushing against normal en.wp practice, it can't be called for every single song, and we cannot have Panda (song) while Panda (Astro song) exists. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:57, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- Obviously we can have Panda (song) while Panda (Astro song) exists, because we have had them coexist for years with absolutely no problem. Somehow 278 people per day manage to read about this #1 charting song, while, despite the hatnote, only about 3 people per day read about the barely notable Chilean song. The only disruption would be in fixing the 75 or so links to this article after an unnecessary move. No one has shown any reason for a move, much less any benefit. Panda (Desiigner song) → Panda (song) – Per WP:SONGDAB, this is the only song named "Panda" with an article. The previous article at Panda (Astro song) has been merged, as it did not meet the criteria of WP:NSONG. Previous article also received next to no traffic.[1] 162 etc. (talk) 05:00, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support - this is the most common thing people will be referring to when referring to a song called "Panda". — Preceding unsigned comment added by KangarooShit (talk • contribs) 10:34, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
